Field marker a grave mystery
A headstone in a cornfield south of Hershey marks the grave of Georgie Nowell, a boy who died in 1890.

Local historians are getting closer to solving the mystery surrounding a child's gravestone south of Hershey, but many questions still remain.
Located amid a sea of cornstalks, the marker is safe for now. Its future, however, is uncertain. Isolated and abandoned, the nearly three-foot tall marker has remained relatively undisturbed over the years. It's absent of vandalism and bothered only by the elements.
