Mellisa Millard of North Platte is a pint-sized powerhouse when it comes to her passion for preventing suicide.

Millard recently returned from Washington, D.C., where she joined more than 200 field advocates from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in lobbying Congress for legislation.
