Sen. Lydia Brasch introduced the LR 42 resolution to the Nebraska Legislature last year. The resolution urges the U.S. Congress to propose to the states the Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which is vitally important to protect the role of parents in directing the upbringing and education of their children.
Unfortunately, this critical resolution has not yet been passed out of the judiciary committee, where it was carried over to this year’s session. I respectfully ask all Nebraska residents to contact your representative, as well as the representatives on the judiciary committee (listed below), to ask that this resolution be moved out to the full Senate for a vote. Given that there are already 32 co-sponsors of this resolution, it should be no problem getting it approved.
