Playhouse to present ‘Miracle on 34th Street’

“Miracle on 34th Street” under the direction of Carolyn Clark, will be performed tonight through Sunday and Nov. 16-18 at the North Platte Community Playhouse, 301 E. Fifth St.

This play is based on the 20th Century Fox motion picture “Miracle on 34th Street.” The comedy/drama was adapted by Mountain Community Theater from a novel by Valentine Davies.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Nov. 16-17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday and Nov. 18. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students with IDs, and may be purchased online at or at the door.

Cornhole tournament is Saturday at D&N

The Pre-Turkey Cornhole Tournament is Saturday at the D&N Event Center, 500 E. Walker Road. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the tournament begins at 11 a.m.

Cost is $20 per team with double elimination. Pre-register online at

First- through third-place prizes will be awarded, $500, $300 and $200, respectively. Winners also receive a free registration to the American Cornhole Organization major qualifier in North Platte Jan. 11-12.

The Husker football game will be shown on the big screen.

Craft Fling is Saturday at Eagles Club

Little Bit of Everything Craft Fling will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday at the Eagles Club, 620 N. Chestnut St. There will be a wide variety of vendors.
