From its inception in 1947 until today, the Goodfellow Shoe Fund organization has had many dedicated and generous volunteers and donors.
On Dec. 18, 2018, the Goodfellow Shoe Fund Board lost one of its earliest members. Bettymae Erb served selflessly and faithfully for more than 50 years. She served in many capacities including president, vice president, buyer and treasurer.
At the time of her death at the age of 87, Betty was still serving as assistant treasurer on the Goodfellow Shoe Fund Board.
“We are most grateful for all of her years of service and thank the family for designating Good Fellow Shoe Fund as one of their memorials in remembrance of Bettymae,” the board wrote in a press release. “Bettymae Erb will long be remembered for her years of service during her lifetime and the timely and generous gift she left for the purchase of shoes for the children of North Platte surrounding area.
“We want to thank all of our donors for their continued support of the Goodfellow Shoe Fund.”
