Cassandra Kay Kubes and Darin Douglas Stearley, both of North Platte, were united in marriage June 4, 2016, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Bob Deardoff.
The bride is the daughter of William and Roxanne Kubes of North Platte. She is the granddaughter of Ruth and the late George Wilhelmson of North Platte and the late Loren and Florence Kubes of Denton.
The groom is the son of Doug and Esther Stearley of North Platte. He is the grandson of Daryll and Monica Stearley of Ogallala and the late Erwin and Lorine Witte of Friend.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown trimmed in silver, with her paternal grandparent’s wedding rings on her bracelet.
Matron of honor was Roxanne Kubes, mother of the bride. Jadelyn Rutherford, daughter of the bride, served as bridesmaid. Flower girls were Mackenzie DeGarmo and Jocelyn Myers, nieces of the groom.
The best man was the father of the groom, Doug Stearley. Groomsman was Dean Stearley, brother of the groom. Cale Stearley, nephew of the groom served as ring bearer.
Ushers were Scott and Dayne Guenin, brothers of the bride.
Cassie graduated with a master’s degree from Doane College. She is employed by the North Platte Public Schools. Darin is a Union Pacific Railroad employee.
A reception followed at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. The couple will travel to Colorado for their honeymoon.
