A bull riding event is planned at North Platte Stockyards on May 25. Because parking could be an issue, stockyard owner Kyle Layman is asking the county to temporarily close the east 200 yards of East Railroad Street to allow for extra parking May 24-25.

The area that would be affected is between Wilson and Bicentennial avenues.

The Lincoln County Commissioners will consider the request at their meeting Monday morning in the Lincoln County Courthouse. The meeting, in the commissioners’ room, will begin at 9 a.m.

Commissioners will also consider an agreement with the U.S. Deptartment of Agriculture for wildlife control services.

In other business, commissioners will:

» Receive claims and treasurer’s receipts.

» Consider an agreement with Marcia Trego for valuation protest referee services.

» Receive fee reports submitted by the clerk of the district court, county clerk, register of deeds and county sheriff.

» Consider certificates of correction and refund, if any, as submitted by the county assessor.

» Consider changes to the contract with Western Engineering for road work for LCDOR 2019-1 Phase I and Phase II.

» Hear an update by Les Green, director of information systems, on deployment of security personnel or devices,

» Have a closed session hearing regarding pending litigation.

» Hear concerns, if any, from elected officials, department heads and their representatives.
