Allene R. Morse, 90, of North Platte, was welcomed into Heaven July 3, 2019.
She was born in North Platte on Feb. 20, 1929, to Roy and Irene Fisher.
She married Ray Morse on March 4, 1950. She loved North Platte so much that she had no desire to live anywhere else. She was proud of the fact that she worked at the North Platte Canteen during WWII and spoke of it often. She loved talking about the Depot, the Golden Spike, and “the largest railyards in the world.” She visited Cody Park often and enjoyed the animals and the ice cream!
Allene was preceded in death by her parents; her seven siblings; and her husband, Ray; all of who were at the gates of Heaven waiting for her.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Doug) Reifschneider, of Marietta, Georgia; grandson, Jason (Angie) Hill of Belton, Missouri; granddaughter, Dana (Walt) Morgan of Boulder, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Adam Brubaker and Braeden Hill of Belton, and Lydia and Gus Morgan of Boulder. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, several of who reside in North Platte.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. The family will host a celebration of her life in September, congregating at one of her favorite places, Cody Park. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
